BUSY WEEK AT ANDREWS OF STRATFORD

MONDAY morning ANDREWS STRUMMERS all boarded cars, vans and even the Elephant to make it to Trinity United Church for their annual Seniors' Church Service. This was our first venture out of the "Home" and a fair task to move all the ukulele equipment and players to the Church. We were blessed to have some members of SMUG along to give us support as we played two sets of two spiritual pieces for the many who attended, and who were amazed at the ability of the well rehearsed Strummers. A return engagement may well be in the offing. After the service as well as Communion, conducted by The Reverend Dr. John Moses, all present were treated to a wonderful lunch in the gathering room. GOOD FOOD!
THE MIDDLE GROUP AT THE READY
THE LEFT FLANK COMPARING NOTES
WEDNESDAY morning weekly ANDREWS STRUMMERS practise was a sort of special morning to enable the Strummers to give a Strumming Sendoff to Mable Carmichael who is moving to London Ontario next week to be closer to her family. Mable was one of the original ANDREWS STRUMMERS when the group first began three years ago. My, we have come a long way since then, and much thanks to Mabel for her loyalty through several ordeals in her life who was always there with new pieces and great advice to help us all along. Mabel, we will miss you so much. We hear you may be back to visit next summer.....we look forward. We all finished up the morning with tea, coffee AND SCONES.....WOW it's getting better all the time!

Summer Family Picnic at Andrews of Stratford

What a wonderful Day at Andrews of Stratford! All attended by family young and old and a fabulous lunch put on by Chef Terry and all of his special crew. The Andrews Strummers preceded the meal portion of the picnic, which featured six rousing numbers that brought the house down six times! Thanks too goes to Ann and Molly for the entertainment they provided after the meal. What great talent and looked forward to by so many of the residents. Thanks to Keith and his staff for their splendid hospitality as always....we hope they will continue this well received annual event for a long time to come. Attached here are some photos that Activity Director, Sharon, took of the many activities happening in and around the facility. DOUBLE-CLICK ON PHOTOS TO ENLARGE
