ANNUAL BARBECUE AT ANDREWS OF STRATFORD

THE STRUMMERS

His Honour with The Murphy Family

Here are a few photos taken yesterday at Andrews summer barbecue. So busy forgot to take a lot of photos! As always Terry and his staff excelled and we had great food to celebrate summer. We had the pleasure of the company of His Honour, the Lieutenant- Governor, Frank Lewis, as well as His Worship, the Mayor of Stratford, David Dunphy, along with the owners of Andrews, Ray and Carolyn Murphy and family. The Andrews Strummers were superb once again this week, and appreciated those non-residents who joined the group for the performance. As always Ann and Molly put on a great performance as "Just We Two".......fun and good food was had by all.

2015 ANNUAL SENIORS' SERVICE AT TRINITY UNITED CHURCH-CHARLOTTETOWN

This morning at Trinity United Church in Charlottetown, the third annual Seniors' Church Service was held under the direction of the Reverend Dr. John Moses, with Donald Fraser leading the music for the service. The Andrews Strummers, that much sought after ukulele group from Andrews of Stratford, were the special guests and performed before and during the service. Reverend Moses gave a wonderful sermon about the bread of life and how bread has affected our cultures around the world, and how it relates to the life of Jesus and the people he ministered to.We all partook of the bread and wine to close the service. Following communion everyone departed to the gathering room for a light, but tasty lunch of a great variety of gorgeous sandwiches and the seniors' favourite, "SWEETS" and tea and coffee. The Strummers would like to thank the Trinity Pastoral Care committee and Rev. Moses for the invitation once again to participate in this wonderful event.

St. DAVID'S UNITED CHURCH ANNIVERSARY IN GEORGETOWN

Here we are at St. David's 178th Anniversary Service in Georgetown for the second year in a row. Again The Reverend Barbara Cairns invited us back to play for one of her last services before she takes on a new charge in York and Stanhope. The guest speaker for the anniversary service was Heather MacLeod. The evening finished up with a traditional "Light Lunch" in their hall next door..WOW! Our thanks to Barbara for having us share in their service this evening. Our congratulations and good wishes to her as she moves to new challenges and as she has just become ordained in May. What a beautiful evening for a drive home(exactly like last year)
